First let me start off by saying I 💙💙💙 the HBO hit show #Insecure and may begin to over-use the word HELLA. 🤣🤣🤣 Just accept it now so we can all move on . GREAT .....THANKS!
I don't know what possessed me to start using face wash as my brush cleaner but I haven't turned away from it since!
When I started in this business, I followed all the mainstream rules and bought all the main stream products (that I could afford, which definitely wasn't much) and strived to improve inch by inch.
I was spending $10 + on brush cleaners and never really satisfied with the results or used so much of it I was back in the store buying another one before I could clean my brushes more than twice! Something had to change and man oh man something sure did!
Not only did I discover that certain face washes are ideal for brush cleaning but I found my GO-TO cleanser right in the aisle of one of my favorite stores FAMILY DOLLAR! *Yes I am a Bargain Shopper and proud of it *
THE Clean & Clear Essentials Foaming Face Wash is AMAZING for brush cleaning/ face cleaning without leaving residue or unwanted makeup left in your brushes or on your face. I buy at least 3 at a time and have them placed by every sink in my house as well as overflow drawers for a rainy day.
The Sens'Eyes Makeup Remover (MUFE) is my secret weapon to clean my liner brushes. It will help to breakdown the waterproof product before you clean it to prevent frayed edges or prematurely damaged brushes. Keep this baby by your makeup in case of emergencies. This is the quick fix without making a mess.
You can find the cleanser in mostly any drug store as well as Family dollar locations and Amazon.com.
The makeup remover is made my MAKE UP FOR EVER and is sold at Sephora stores, the MUFE studio in Union square or of course on the Makeup Forever professional website.
Remember, your brushes are just as important as the hair on your head . The more you take care of it , the longer it will last and the better it will treat you. You are in control of your brushes, so if they look CRAY CRAY, don't blame the brush..YOU DID IT and you are the only one who can fix it ! Before you dump your brushes and buy new ones, WASH THEM, you'll be surprised how much money you will save !
Happy brush cleaning my pretties!
